1st Place: $15,000 
2nd Place: $10,000 Culinary/Baking programs; $8,000 all other programs 
3rd Place: $5,000
  
The scholarship is good through the Associate of Science Degree program, majoring either in Culinary Arts | Baking & Pastry Arts | Travel, Tourism & Event Management | Hotel & Restaurant Management and is paid out equally over the six quarters of the Associate Degree Program.  Student must use the scholarship in either the summer or fall quarter, following their high school graduation.  

​The American Academy of Chefs (honor society of ACF) and American Culinary Federation is providing the following awards:

 The American Academy of Chefs (AAC), the prestigious honor society of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), is proud to partner with the NASA HUNCH Culinary Challenge to provide substantial support to students and schools participating in this exciting competition.
Awards:
First Place: $1,500 to the 1st place school’s culinary or science program
Second Place: $1,000 to the 2nd place school’s culinary or science program
Third Place: $500 to the 3rd place school’s culinary or science program

Support for Participants:
$4,000 Support: The top 10 teams will each receive $400 to help cover travel costs for the National Cook-Off.
$3,000 Support: The top 10 teams will each receive $300 to help cover the cost of food and supplies for the National Cook-Off.

Full ACF National Conferences complimentary passes for the winning team and their instructor. No transportation or lodging Team winners will receive an award at the ACF National Convention for their winning recipe during the convention. In addition to these financial awards, the AAC is committed to mentoring the next generation of culinary professionals. The AAC Chair and the ACF President or their appointed representatives of the AAC/ACF shall be present to judge at the final competition. AAC Fellow Denise Baxter will participate in the judging at the final competition.

An AAC Fellow will be assigned to mentor any student that would like to continue to explore the culinary profession.

Membership into the American Culinary Federation for all team members of the top three winning teams for a period of one year.  Winning team members wishing to extend their membership beyond the period of one year will be considered.

​The AAC and ACF are honored to support this initiative, helping to inspire and equip the next generation of culinary leaders.
